Comprehensive Veterinary Care for All Your Furry Friends

We are a fully equipped facility offering wellness exams and vaccinations, surgeries including reconstructive surgeries, spay and neutering, mass removals, and emergency procedures. We have a dental suite and x-ray capability, and we provide laboratory services. We offer separate dog and cat boarding with hand-walking three times daily in our fenced-in yard. We also offer bathing and grooming services! We have a full selection of flea and heartworm medication, a stocked pharmacy, as well as prescription diets. All products are sold to our clients at competitive prices with a manufacturer's guarantee. Our clientele includes dogs, cats, pocket pets, and some members of the exotic category.

Wellness Vaccinations

Wellness examinations and vaccination are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives of your companion animals. Disease prevention is always less costly than dealing with the treatment of a disease once your pet has developed it. An example would be the treatment of parvovirus. Parvovirus treatment can frequently cost $1000 or more, while a single parvovirus vaccination will usually cost less than $50. Early diagnosis of a disease process can lead your pet to a longer, healthier life. Kidney disease, if diagnosed early, will allow us to modify your dog or cat's diet and, in some cases, add supplements to their diet to potentially extend their lives. There are many other conditions for which an early diagnosis is advantageous.

Puppy Examinations and Disease Prevention

Our puppy wellness program is designed to offer your new puppy all the benefits of veterinary services available to him / or her from 6 weeks of age to 16 weeks of age. Included in this service is a series of examinations and vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, etc. In addition, your puppy will be tested for worms and be treated for the most common intestinal worm of puppies, roundworms. Roundworms can cause gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting and/or diarrhea. And can be transmitted to children and adults. There are other parasites that can cause similar symptoms and can even cause your puppy to become anemic (low red blood cells). Performing a fecal test will allow us to treat your puppy accordingly. Although some worms are visible to the naked eye, most worm burdens are diagnosed by examining the stool of your puppy microscopically.

Kitten Examinations and Disease Prevention

Our kitten wellness program is designed to offer your new kitten all the benefits of veterinary services available to him / or her from 6 weeks of age to 12 weeks of age. Included in this service is a series of examinations and vaccinations, including rabies, panleukopenia (distemper), leukemia, etc. In addition, your kitten will be tested for worms and be treated for the most common intestinal worm of kittens, roundworms. Roundworms can cause your kitten to vomit and/or experience diarrhea; however, it is possible for your kitten to have roundworms and not show any signs of harboring the worms. A microscopic fecal examination will allow us to evaluate the presence of these worms. The examination will also look for other types of worms that can affect your kitten.

Geriatric Patient Care

We offer services to older patients requiring special attention. As our pets, many suffer from arthritis, heart disease, and many other ailments. We design our care plans around each individual patient's need and tailor treatments for each case.

Ultrasound

We believe having state-of-the-art ultrasound capabilities for abdominal and thoracic imaging is critical to providing the best possible care to our patients. Our ultrasound allows us to rapidly diagnose and treat a myriad of conditions that would otherwise go undetected. We also use ultrasound for guided aspirates in order to safely collect sterile urine, sample tumors in the body, and remove fluid during emergency procedures. This safe technique uses sound waves to evaluate the organs inside the body, and we have comfy troughs for your pet to lay in while the imaging is being done.

Ultrasound is typically performed when the pet is fasted and allows us to diagnose conditions ranging from heart and lung problems to intestinal obstruction, cancers of the liver and spleen, and so much more. We can rapidly diagnose bladder stones, kidney problems, pancreatic inflammation, and life-threatening bleeding problems. We can even diagnose pregnancy and assess the viability of the fetuses.

Ultrasound is integral to providing you with fast and effective care when your pet needs it. We are proud to be trained with this advanced imaging technique and offer it at an affordable cost. We also know when your pet should see a board veterinary internal medicine or radiology specialist. We will work with you to determine when this is needed and direct you where to go.

Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy is the application of a healing photonic light to control or treat conditions such as:

  • pain management
  • wound healing
  • acute and chronic ear infections
  • post-surgical inflammation
  • rehabilitation
  • arthritis
  • back pain
  • hip dysplasia
  • hot spots

Radiology

Radiology uses short bursts of X-ray beams to create an inside image of the body without having to perform any surgery to look inside. Typically, veterinarians may utilize radiology services if a pet is having trouble breathing, coughing excessively, trauma, or fever.

Anesthesia & Patient Monitoring

Anesthesia and patient monitoring varies greatly among clinics. When you choose your veterinarian, be sure to question the types of anesthetics used and the protocols for monitoring anesthesia. Often the more expensive anesthetics are safer to use; however, anesthetics are also chosen for other reasons, including their ability to control pain.

  • Veterinary Technician Support
  • Tranquilization/Sedation

Boarding

We have separate dog and cat facilities to provide your pet with a comfortable stay while you are away. We will feed any specialized or prescriptive diets that may be required, as well as medicate any animals as needed. We have a private boarding suite for cats and a grassy, fenced-in yard for exercising dogs, as well as outdoor boarding space.

Microchip Pet Identification

Microchipping has become a very popular and safe way to permanently identify your pet and you as the owner in the unfortunate case that your pet is lost. Microchipping involves the placement of a small electronic chip the size and shape of a piece of rice just under the skin in the neck area. A needle is used to inject the chip. The injection is comparable to a regular vaccine injection.

If your pet becomes lost and is transported to a humane society, the humane society will be able to scan your pet for the chip and contact you. The scanner is similar to a scanner found in the grocery store.

We advise you to use this system of identification as well as a collar identification system on your pet.
